Fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coating is a powder coating which is used to provide protection to pipelines, steel pipes. The name fusion bonded comes from the way it is applied to the metal which is at high temperatures 250 °C and the contents of the powder is melted and transformed into liquid. Once it is applied it is a permanent fixture which will not be removed in heat again – this is known as thermoset.
